Former Crystal Palace owner, Simon Jordan, has mocked Arsenal’s All or Nothing Amazon documentary by comparing it to the recent Wagatha Christie trial between Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney.

The talkSPORT pundit added that Arsenal’s All or Nothing Amazon documentary is more like a ‘mockumentary’ and he feels it’s more for the ‘commercial venture’ than anything else.

Whilst fans saw what happened out on the pitch, they will now get to see the drama from behind-the-scenes and how it all unfolded, from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang losing the captain’s armband to the defeat in the north London derby.

It’s something that is sure to be top of the viewing list for quite a lot of football supporters, but Arsenal’s All or Nothing Amazon documentary is not to the taste of a certain out-spoken owner-turned pundit, as he told talkSPORT.

“Well, I find these documentaries like mockumentaries, these sporting ones,” said Jordan. “You are not really seeing what’s going on.

“We have seen the All or Nothing with Tottenham and we have seen the Crystal Palace one. We have seen other ones like Sunderland, which had amusement value because of some of the characters that were behind the scenes.

“I have to confess, I am not a huge lover of these broadcasting ideas because I think they are more for the platform and the commercial venture than they are for the intrigue and the information.

“No, I have no vested interest in Arsenal, so I have no real interest in watching a documentary about Arsenal – these documentaries that are produced, which will probably end up with that ghastly Wagatha Christie outcome now being produced as some sort of sideshow as a dreadful case.”

For neutrals, and there will be many of them tuning in, this Arsenal All or Nothing documentary is going to be amazing and entertaining viewing.

But, for those in Arsenal colours, it’s all going to be for the wrong reasons because, at the end of the day, they achieved nothing last season.

The aim was to win a trophy and secure Champions League football, but after an abject start and end to the Premier League campaign, the north London club had to settle for a fifth-placed finish.

Arsenal are heading towards nearly two decades without winning the English league title, so the emotion of fans can go from riding a wave to wanting the manager out in next to no time given the extra pressure of emotion around the club.

That will probably showcase itself on Friday night when Arteta and his players make the short trip to Selhurst Park to take on Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace.
